Cruising - first impressions

As I've mentioned previously, although we've been on a river cruise (in China) for a few days, we've haven't been on an ocean cruise together.  Individually, before we were married, well, yes, but that was a few eras ago.....

We're now on board the Dawn Princess and there's a window of opportunity to access the internet before the ship departs.    There's a lot of information about the ship on the internet, and so far, there haven't been any big surprises.

Initial thoughts?    Very mixed group,  quite a lot of "seniors", but others as well   Boarding arrangements - efficient enough but there were a lot of people, so all up it took us an hour from arriving to getting to our cabin.

We've just departed and now have a few "sea days" getting across the Tasman Sea to Auckland.    I've brought a few books to read. I wonder if they will be enough to keep my occupied!
